Too much zoom squashing the train up too much. I find many rail videos are zoomed out of proportion also. Could you take this with a straight 50mm with no zoom. I realise that at speed it would be difficult.

John, as the full-time resident of the cottage on the Clayton Tunnel North Portal I come across, as you can imagine, many photos of this place. For the record, your photo (CRW_3023-01a.jpg) is without doubt the best I've seen to date. You have captured it beautifully, in particular the late Spring/early Summer flowers. Excellent! If you ever want a closer look at the place then drop me an e-mail and we can arrange something.

Hello John I thought i would comment this Hastings picture to tell you about Hastings now.Im not really intested in Hastings that much anymore now becuase Hastings is not a nice station anymore. Its two chavy, the staff can be rude, also the new collage building going up rureins it.The other day me and my friend were enjoying trainspottering on hastings station than one of the staff tells us to leave i was so mad becuase i just love trains and my day was a waste becuase me and my friend spent £7.30 to hastings to trainspott.Im never going to hastings again becuase the staff their i dont like, station is not nice anymore and its a rough area around their and hastings freaks me out.I STILL LOVE ORE STATION THAT STATION ROCKS AND ITS SOUTHERNS STATION.Im still going to go to Ore to Trainspott becuase its peaceful, carm, lovely but im never going to hastings again im put of with hastings and st leoards warrior square. I dont think i have told you this.I did work e on the railway in oct with southern in east croydon it was amazing becuase i got to go to east croydon everyday for free becuase they gave me free tavel for a week. The staff in knollys house and the other building were so kind, nice.I got to go to selhurst depo to use the 377 simlator which was amazing.I also went in the drivers cab of the rare 377s with the patograph on from east croydon to brighton on the 377 206. I cant wait to go to London victioa on the train this friday.I love the london routes.I also cant wait till saturday becuase i love the west coastway as worthing is my local station and i cant wait to go havent way again. Also go up southwest train line up to working to change and go to Alton where the steam railway is.I love southwest trains 450s and 444s. Keep up the great pictures and work John you do.I cant wait to the next 377 update on the east coast way/west coast way or where ever you went today sunday. Luke

Hello John I have some bad news to tell you about this bridge becuase about 2 weeks ago The graffetti started being on it and its horrible.I went back to Newhaven Harbour to take some videos becuase i love the 1 track and i saw graffetti on it when i was walking up the steps.I was like what the hell becuase in feb 2008 when me and my friend joe were their.Their was none. I got a message back from my friend becuase i wanted to know what has happened. Hi The graffetti at the harbour came about 2 weeks ago but I'm not sure how long it's been on the steps. They have done it on people's houses too. When I was at the bridge the other day there was security guards so I think they will catch them soon. Megan Hi The harbour was a nice place until the chavs came. But your fine during the day, it's just at night when they come out. You will be safe during the day. The security guards are from the sewage place, they graffettied them too. I would have thought Southern would have cleaned it off by now. I might do a video tomorow if it's not raining about it. It made me upset yestoday becuase i like that bridge. If your going to Sussex on your sunday trips i dont recomend this bridge yet until the graffti is off. Luke

I love this picture of the 377 474 at pevensey and westham.I love This train im a big trainspotter of the 377 474 & 377 472 becuase they are the london to brighton speed units.I love the logo of them. The 377 474 goes to ore alot you mosty see this train on these lines.I once saw this train at fishersgate station while i was trainspottering their. Its so cool when you get pictures of people in the background about to get on the train.I love the winter pictures you take becuase it gets dark early and you see lights on on the station like in this picture. I remmber before christmas 2006 when you went to ore station east sussex and this train was their. Im looking forward to start my traveling again tomoz on southern trains from worthing my local station becuase i havent been on them for awhile becuase i was away. This is the best site for southern trains. Keep up the good work. from luke

No it is not a semi fast - it is a slow, all stations, inner suburban train. The Bedford - Luton - St. Albans - London - East Croydon - Gatwick Airport - Haywards Heath - Brighton services are semi fast services. East Midlands Trains provide fast services between London St. Pancras - Luton - Bedford and Gatwick Express provide fast services between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport

Thats what you get for being a camera nut who likes taking train pictures rather than a train nut with a camera. I will stand corrected

I was on this train by the way i was coming back to worthing.I came from Hampden park in east sussex where i got a bus to berick sussex were trains started again. It was good that the brighton to littlehampton 377s used the green seat trains on this day.It was the busy sunday ever that weekend in shoreham due to the airshow.I allways go out alot and trainspot around sussex to ore/hastings all thw way to portsmouth. Im just so happy you took a picture of the 377 162 train which i was on on sunday. keep up the good work.

Lovely Great Photo of the 377 114 at Normans Bay.Normans Bay is a lovely Beatifull station.I just love the east coastway becuase you got Awsome Eastbourne Station,Hastings,Ore,lewes,Seaford i just love the east coastway becuase the route is abit more nicer than the west coastway.I think you get a bit more for your monney on the east coastway becuase i still pay child fare and from seaford to Hastings/Ore its only £4/5 something return thats well worth it.I pay Adult fares in March i will miss going to Hastings/Ore/EastBourne Alot but i will still go up their i will still go on the eastcoast alot.

Lovely photo John of the 377 408 & 377 474 on the rear.I think i saw the 377 474 again at Worthing today my local station becuase i finsh school early 10.50 so the speed run trains just poped up.If it was the 377 474 its doing more servies again on the west coastway. It could of been the 377 472 but didnt see the number but knew speed run train. Willingdon is a great place for photos of trains. I love it when the green seat 377 gos to Ore.

Wow Worthing my local station.I was around on Sunday 6th January.I was on my home at the time you took this photo. It i was at West worthing coming back from Arundel and i got this train 377 460 & with 377 439 you would of saw me get of this train.Worthings a good station becuase Worthing town does need sorting out and the station more becuase its abit Hobbable with that car park next to you. They should knock car park down and make a shopping center and cinmas and stuff and they could knock down the front of Worthing station becuase its very old now and build a new front like Hastings station with the blue glass building. It would suit Worthing. I remmber coming back from Ore with Joe i saw the 377 460 entering and we were on it all the way to Brighton.
